Mercedes-AMG has posted a video to their YouTube channel that appears to show a news report of something strange on a German highway. It's clear that the automaker is looking to cook up a little bit of viral fun, and we'll bit (initially) to see what's going to happen next.
The video above shows that a strange light picked up and toyed with a cargo truck. According to the reporter, the cargo in the truck has gone missing and a metal-like fluid was seen on the highway.
Our guess as to what happens next? A few more videos will pop up with out-of-focus shots of a CLA45 AMG blasting down the A81 outside of Stuttgart. It's the freshest and most alien-looking machine in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. This makes it a ripe target for an attempt at a viral ad campaign.
Hopefully this particular video series takes an exciting turn, and we get to see the hi-powered turbo-four running four-door in an exciting light. Although, we will admit that the car doesn't even need an enticing video campaign as the stats kind of leave us drooling and wanting.
After all, this is a mini-Merc that produces 355 horsepower from its turbocharged four-cylinder motor, and then sends that power out to all four wheels. This allows the shapely sedan to run from 0-60 miles per our in 4.5 seconds.
Priced to move with a starting MSRP under $50,000, we say enough with the rest of the video series. Just give us the keys already!
