He may be most famous for being the drummer of British band Pink Floyd, but Nick Mason, who recently celebrated his 72nd birthday, is also an avid car nut and racing driver. He has a serious collection of both vintage and modern cars, including road and racing models the likes of which include the storied Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] 250 GTO. He also owns a LaFerrari, which he was happy to show off in front of the camera for the folks at Goodwood Road & Racing.

The video also features Italian racing driver Emanuele Pirro, a five-time winner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans who also had a brief stint in Formula One. Pirro hops into the driver’s seat, though we don’t get any footage of the racing legend actually driving the car. In fact, there isn’t much footage of the car in action at all.

The color combination of Mason’s LaFerrari is an interesting one, though, and we’re glad to see it isn’t finished in the typical Rosso Corsa that most Ferraris seem to come in. It’s also interesting to see Mason’s license plate choice of “F150 OK”.

Some readers will recall that Ferrari called its 2011 Formula One race car the F150 in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, but the automaker had to change it to 150° Italia after receiving complaints from Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] because of the closeness to its own F-150 pickup truck name. Ferrari also used F150 as a code name for the LaFerrari before finally revealing the final name at the car’s 2013 Geneva Motor Show debut.
