At last weekend’s Eighth Annual LX Spring Festival, SRT head Ralph Gilles revealed a new appearance package option for the 2013 and 2014 Dodge Charger SRT8. Dubbed the “392 Appearance Package,” it will be priced at $2,495 and offered on a limited basis for both years.

How limited? Only 392 cars will be built in each year, and each will wear a dash badge proclaiming its build number out of 392. The kit also includes gloss black “392” fender badges; a Pitch Black roof, side mirrors, rear spoiler and hood stripe; a satin black SRT lower-body side stripe; a “392” engine cover and 20-inch Black Vapor Chrome wheels.

Buyers can choose from five exterior colors, including Brilliant White Clear Coat; Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat; Plum Crazy Pearl Coat; HEMI Orange Pearl Coat and TorRed Clear Coat. If you're keeping track, those are the same colors offered up by SRT on its "Core Performance" Charger, the Super Bee.

Nothing changes under the hood, meaning that 392 Appearance Package cars get the same 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 found in all Charger SRT8 models, rated at 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Bolted to a five-speed automatic transmission, that’s good enough to get the 2013 Charger SRT8 from 0-60 in under five seconds.

Order up a 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 with the 392 Appearance Package and no other options, and the car will run you a total of $48,740 (including a $995 destination charge). Considering that buys you both impressive muscle-sedan performance and a bit of exclusivity, we’d call that a relative bargain.
