A living legend, Sir Stirling Moss, has confirmed his attendance at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance taking place this month.

The British F1 hero is regarded by many as ‘the greatest driver to have never won a World Championship,’ and though he quit motorsport’s top echelon in 1962 he’s continued to remain active in promoting all types of motorsport and is still one of the most recognizable faces in the industry.

Moss is also highly regarded for being a very versatile racing driving, having achieved success in F1 cars, sports cars, and sedans.

He even set a land speed record at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats back in 1957.

This won't be the first time Moss will be in attendance at the Amelia Island Concours. Back in 1996 he was named the event’s first Honorary Chairman.

If you're contemplating attending the Amelia Island Concours this year, we hope the announcement of Moss’ attendance will help sway your decision.

Dates for the show are March 8-10, 2013. For our complete coverage of the event, click here.
