Bentley CEO Says SUV Decision Coming Soon...
It would come as little surprise then that a redesign for the SUV concept was hinted at just weeks after its reveal.
Now we have word that a revised version will be unveiled soon, perhaps as early as the end of this year.
Speaking with Inside Line, Bentley spokesman Martin Broomer has revealed that a “tweaked” version of the concept will be unveiled at the end of the year, suggesting a debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in November or at January’s 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
Broomer went on to reveal that while many potential buyers love the look of the EXP 9 F, there remains room for some change. Broomer also reiterated Bentley’s original stance that the EXP 9 F is a pure concept vehicle and not a preview of any production model from the automaker.
Bentley has injected some new blood into its design team this year with the appointment of David Hilton as its new exterior design chief and former Lamborghini stylist Luc Donckerwolke as its new head of design. Neither designer was involved with the EXP 9 F but expect much of their influence in any updated version.
While Bentley is yet to formally announce production of a new SUV, the project is rumored to have already been given the green light with sales thought to commence sometime in 2014.
