The definition of insanity, the saying goes, is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. To this point, Formula One czar Bernie Ecclestone has made two previous trips down the aisle, with the last one costing him dearly.

His divorce from former wife and fashion model Slavica (who gave him daughters Tamara and Petra) cost him a reported £1 billion ($1.58 billion) in 2009, yet the diminutive octogenarian billionaire has reportedly tied the knot a third time with a Brazilian marketing executive some 46 years his junior.

According to The Daily Mail, the 81-year-old Ecclestone began dating the now-35-year-old Fabiana Flosi following his 2009 divorce from Slavica. Flossi and Ecclestone met while working to promote the Brazilian Grand Prix, and Bernie allegedly sealed the deal with a $158,000 engagement ring last April.

Not everyone seems to be happy over the nuptials. Word is that neither of Ecclestone’s daughters (who are 28 and 24 years old) attended the wedding, and his choice of location may have further strained an already tenuous relationship between father and daughters.

Ecclestone and Flossi allegedly married at Le Lion, Ecclestone’s chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland. In happier timer times, Le Lion is where the then-Ecclestone family of Bernie, Slavica, Tamara and Petra spent their Christmas holidays, and we’re pretty sure that that tradition won’t be carried forward.

We wish the happy couple all the best, and we’re sure that Ecclestone didn’t require his new bride to sign a pre-nup this time around. After all, true love is the only reason that a 35 year old woman would marry an 81 year old man, isn’t it?
