The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance wasn't the only thing going on in the automotive world this past weekend. In fact, an event some might consider its rival--especially if you're more into American muscle and style--was held in Detroit: the Woodward Dream Cruise.

This video, Chevrolet's recap of the event, focuses on the brand's cars that rolled down Woodward, as well as some of the art and activities that accompanied it.

Set to a soundtrack that would do any 1970s television cop show proud, the video is a quick look at an iconic event in American car culture, and proof that whatever the state of Detroit, it still loves cars.
