Dany Bahar was the CEO of Lotus, until yesterday. Last month he was suspended due to an investigation into misconduct involving using company funds to refurbish his house. Yesterday it was announced that he was fired effective immediately. Lotus is currently looking to hire a new CEO, and has appointed the Chief Operating Officer, Aslam Farikullah, in the interim.

Volvo hasn't been shy about its performance intentions, and now it's getting official with the first Polestar model. It's announced that on June 16th an S60 Polestar model will be on display at the Gothenburg City Race. Whether a production version is in the works remains to be seen.

Texas might be the first state to have an 85-mph speed limit. A new stretch of road is being opened called Highway 130, and it is meant to be a toll road, with a high speed limit. The concept is, people can pay to go on a faster road and it will hopefully clear up some congestion on Interstate 35. Whether the speed limit is approved or not remains to be seen, but at this point it seems likely.
