While deliveries of the 2012 Tesla Model S won't officially occur until June 22, the first Model S has been delivered to its new owner. The man with the keys, Steve Jurvetson, put down the first deposit and is on Tesla's board. The delivery took place last weekend, and included a small celebration at the Tesla factory.

Test day at the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been completed and a pair of Audi R18 e-tron quattro hybrids were the fastest around the track. Toyota will participate in the race with its new TS030 hybrid race car, along with Nissan and the new DeltaWing. The race is set to take place on Saturday, June 16th, at 3 PM, and will run until the same time the following day.

Demand for the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth far exceeded Fiat's projections and the hot hatchback is now sold out. Customers wanting a Fiat 500 Abarth will have to wait until this fall for the 2013 model year. Chrysler originally projected sales of 1,000 units, but quickly realized it needed to raised projections to 3,000 units, maxing out the production capacity for the Abarth.
