If you’re in the market for a new Audi, you may be pleased to know that all 2013 models equipped with the MMI Navigation Plus or MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch packages now come with a four-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic absolutely free.

SiriusXM Traffic is a useful service that gives drivers access to traffic speed and flow information along with accident information to assist in routing around congested areas.

On top of this, all new Audi models equipped with satellite radio still receive a three-month subscription to SiriusXM’s music, plus premier sports, live news, talk and comedy channels.

“Owning an Audi has always meant more than just driving, and our discerning customers demand the most technologically advanced vehicles available,” Audi U.S. chief Johan de Nysschen said at today’s announcement.

SiriusXM Traffic gathers information from departments of transportation, police and emergency services, traffic sensors and cameras, airborne reports and other sources so is one of the most accurate sources of real-time traffic updates. However, the service primarily covers the freeways and interstates in the most populated metropolitan areas in the country so smaller and less busy routes may not be included.
