A 52-year old man driving a Ferrari 458 Italia managed to crash his exotic supercar into a roadside barrier in Munich during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The crash occurred near the city center, with the silver Ferrari ending up on one of the German city’s tram lines once it finally came to rest.

The force of the impact was so severe that the door on the passenger side was torn completely from the vehicle’s body.

It is alleged the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, and also speeding.

While the driver and his passenger escaped with only minor injuries, the Ferrari is reported to be a complete write-off.

Police are still investigating the matter.
