If you want a 45th Anniversary Edition Camaro, the package is available for any 2LT or 2SS trim level coupe or convertible, as long as you’re willing to spend the $1,375 package price.

On top of the Camaro’s starting price, that money buys you Carbon Flash Metallic paint, a unique stripe package, custom 20-inch wheels, a logo-rich interior with black and red leather seats, custom fog lights, custom taillights and other commemorative bits.

If you want the very first 45th Anniversary Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, on the other hand, you won’t find this at any dealership, at any price. Instead, VIN 001 will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson’s April 6 event in Palm Beach, Florida, with all proceeds going to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The mission of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is to prevent, detect and eradicate all forms of cancer. Considered one of the nation’s top cancer treatment centers, the institute also conducts ongoing cancer research and clinical trials. In other words, the money raised by the sale of the Camaro will be going to a good cause.

Chevrolet has donated the 2SS 45th Anniversary Camaro Convertible, which comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 mated to a six speed manual transmission. Details on other included options haven’t been released, but unique VIN cars destined for auction typically come well equipped.

If you can’t be in Palm Beach, Florida on Friday, April 6, you can still register to bid online. Head on over to the Barrett-Jackson website for complete details on how to register and bid via telephone or internet.
