The 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible is a limited-edition model built to commemorate the Corvette's 60th anniversary. It's fitting then, that it's the car used to blow out 60 candles, trackside, at speed.

We could think of at least a half-dozen other ways to blow out the 60 candles, but this is one of the better options. And we'll take any excuse to see and hear the 2013 427 Convertible in action. Happy birthday, Corvette--even if it is a bit early. The first Corvettes rolled off the assembly line on June 30, 1953.

  1. Actually, should only be 57 candles, three times the corvette was NOT produced, once in the '60s, once in the '70s, and again in the '80s.
    NOW, the mustang, was produced every year...
