Ken Block is many things: shoe magnate, hoonigan honcho, and WRC driver among them. It turns out he's also rather refreshingly humble and aware of the difficulty of rally racing.

Of course, he's had his fair share of exposure to adversity, both self-induced and environmental, over the course of the past few seasons. Rally Mexico didn't turn out quite the way he'd wanted it to--co-driver Alex Gelsomino says he figured they had the pace to finish in the top five, but as Block notes, a handful of punctures and other mechanical trouble held them to ninth place.
