We already knew Gumpert was planning at least one new supercar for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, likely the production version of the Tornante shown last year. Today, Gumpert released an image stating that there will be two new cars on display.

So what will the second car be? There's a hint in the image, where the final "r" in "Discover" is replaced by a stylized version of the letter. To our mind, that hints at an even-more-ridiculous (in an entirely good way) version of the Gumpert Apollo.

The Apollo Speed is currently the top Gumpert, rated at 800 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. It accelerates to 60 mph in under three seconds and can hit 223 mph. The Apollo R--if that's what it's called--is likely to be even quicker and more powerful, and decked out in full race regalia.

The 2012 Geneva Motor Show is less than two weeks away, and we'll be there covering the action live, so stay tuned for more information as it develops.
