Jari-Matti Latvala isn't exactly a household name in the U.S. unless that household happens to be chock full of rally nuts, but this video should bring him one step closer. The footage shows the 2012 Ford Fiesta RS WRC in testing as the team preps for the return of the Rallye Monte Carlo to the 2012 WRC calendar.

The Monte Carlo event had been off the schedule for the past three years, but last summer, the WRC confirmed it would be back for 2012. During the interim, Monte Carlo hosted the International Rally Challenge in the WRC event's place.

Ford's testing, brought to us via Best of Rally Live, shows the stark white rally Fiesta in its new trim at pace, which appears to be impressive indeed with the talented Finn behind the wheel.
