Ford's "New Global Vehicle," believed to be a Fiesta-based crossover.

Ford has been seen
testing a heavily disguised, Fiesta based crossover for emerging markets like India, and now the automaker is ready to tease what it’s been working on.
Since the vehicle has even been spotted undergoing high-altitude testing in the mountains of Colorado, it’s entirely possible that we’ll see a version launched here, too.
Ford isn’t releasing a name for its new mini-crossover, referring to it simply as an all-new global vehicle. An Indian website has apparently scooped
Ford, releasing marketing images showing that it will pick up the EcoSport title though whether this turns out to be official or not remains to be seen.
We’ll know for certain next month, as Ford will preview the new vehicle at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi, India. Ford describes it as the latest “One Ford” global product, intended to grow Ford’s presence in the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets (i.e., India and China).
Ford plans to bring the new global vehicle to market in India by mid-decade, as part of an eight vehicle rollout. It’s unknown if the new
MINI Countryman competitor will come with true off-road capability, or even with all-wheel drive, but it’s certain the
vehicle will benefit from Ford’s fuel saving EcoBoost engine technology.
