Like its
tin-top sister, the
2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible is one potent muscle car--even if it is outpaced by the brand-new 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Sure, it's 70 horsepower short, but it's still a 580-horsepower beast powered by GM's fantastic supercharged 6.2-liter LSA power plant.
It's also a convertible, which means it's a bit more relaxed and fun than the no-nonsense coupe. As these photos show, however, it's still mostly a Camaro, despite all the ZL1 bits; just under the surface, you'll have all the features (and faults) of the base Camaro.
Nonetheless, we're eager to get one out on the road and on the track--and we bet you are too.
