Christopher Nolan is currently shooting The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment of his phenomenally successful Batman trilogy, in New York City, and fans have taken to the streets with an array of mobile phones, HD camcorders and digital cameras in an effort to capture as many images for the rest of us as possible.
While this has certainly resulted in an over-abundance of blurry, dull, or uninformative dispatches from the fan front lines, this video is (mostly) an exception.
That said, there's nothing contained within it that can be deemed anyway representative of the look, mood, or tone of the forthcoming feature. What this (particularly well put together) video does provide, is a fantastic opportunity to salivate over the impossibly cool Batmobile that, under the control of leading man Christian Bale (or whoever his stunt driver is… Ryan Gosling?), is gonna be crushing paving stones like there's no tomorrow come July 2012.
Also, the video provides some awesome close-up footage of the Batcycle, with and without crew members poking around the engine. Check it out below!
