Top Gear's Stig may or may not be the most incredible, alien-talented driver on the planet, depending on the fanboy status of who you're talking to, but the 2012 BMW M5 is a known quantity.

Here, the two come together in a tasty bit of teasery goodness, more info of which is detailed on the show's official website.

Sliding a high-horsepower, relatively long-wheelbase car around in circles of varying radii is no serious challenge, of course, for either car or driver, but the sight is nonetheless impressive, particularly the apparent degree of control at lower speeds. Check it out in the video below.

    I cannot wait to see how this compares to the performance of the Caddi CTS-V or the Panamera. Those two cars are the benchmarks
