In the world of high-end trackday cars, there are many choices and few wrong answers. One of the best answers is likely the Riley MkXXV, which is powered by the bored and stroked 5.8-liter S85 V-10 (yes, the one from the last-gen M-5) shown in the dyno video below.

The sound alone is worth the 1:42 run time, but if you need more convincing, check out the glowing purple exhaust headers, the dyno chart, and then consider that it turns out 720 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 497 pound-feet of torque at 6,900 rpm. Yeah, I want one.
