The Alfa Romeo 4C concept took the Geneva Motor Show by storm earlier this year, then really got us going with confirmation from CEO Harald Wester that it would be coming to the U.S. in production form. Now a new version of the 4C concept is being teased ahead of the Frankfurt Auto Show, hinting possibly at a more production-intent design.

Revealed via Alfa Romeo's Facebook page, the new teaser reveals even less than the typical too-dark images we're used to. Lens-flare effects and super-bright headlights serve to wash out most of what little detail there is.

On the photo, Alfa Romeo has overlaid the text, "Are you read to discover the new look?" Our answer is a tentative "No!" due mostly to the fact that the first 4C concept looked so good. Messing with that may not yield improvements.

Whatever Alfa is planning for the 4C at Frankfurt, we'll be on hand to bring you the latest as it is unveiled. In the mean time, we'll have our ears to the ground for more teasers and info.
