Adrian Sutil wrecks Gumpert Apollo at the 'Ring. Photo via Bridge To Gantry.

Believe it or not, Formula 1 drivers really are human. Well, most of them are, anyway, and that includes Adrian Sutil, who wrecked a Gumpert Apollo on the perilous Nordschleife today.

The damage, as you can see in the image above, isn't terminal--it looks like some bodywork will put the car back in full working order. That's a good thing, too. Unlike the top tier of F1 drivers, Sutil probably doesn't have tens of millions of dollars sitting in Swiss bank accounts, waiting to be burned on his latest fancy.
