While officials in Dubai are known to have deep pockets, there were many that doubted their claims that a Bugatti Veyron supercar would be added to the official fleet of the Dubai Police force. Well, here it is, complete with the white and green livery of the Dubai Police and a flashing light bar fixed to the roof.

Anyone hoping to see some of the world’s fastest police chases is going to be disappointed, however. As Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Chief Major General of the Dubai Police, previously explained, the Veyron, like many of the other supercars in the fleet, is being used to promote Dubai to potential tourists and organizers of international expos. That’s a shame, because this particular model has 987 horsepower under the hood and can hit a top speed of 253 mph.

Incredibly, the Bugatti Veyron isn’t even the most expensive car in the fleet. That title goes to Aston Martin’s limited edition One-77 supercar.
