There are many arguments in favor of the dual-clutch gearbox over the traditional three-pedal manual. They're quicker on track, and easier to drive on the street. But even though they're able to take one more driver-dependent element out of the equation, they're not completely foolproof, as this video proves hilariously.

Staged at the tree against a Dodge Viper, the Ferrari 458 Italia owner is about to prove sophisticated Italian mid-engine prowess is more than a match for brute-force American engineering. Except for one small oversight.

  1. Truly hilarious! Another example of an all to common mismatch. No, I don't mean Viper versus Italia, I mean Ferrari owner versus Ferrari. The cars should come with a driver training course to preclude similar encore performances, and/or worse yet, more encore smash ups.
