Yesterday we brought you the details on Monster Tajima's record 9:51.278 run up Pikes Peak, and today, we have video of the run itself.
Tajima is the first and only person to break the 10-minute barrier up the mountain, a barrier he himself created with his 2007 record run of 10:01.408. The next closest finisher at this year's hill climb was Rhys Millen, nearly 18 seconds behind at 10:09.242.
Clearly, Suzuki and Tajima have gotten the formula right.

Bit of freeway driving followed by some dirt road fun. Sub 9 would be impressive. Do professional drivers take part?
It's easy to sit behinds a computer, watch a video and "be the judge", but until you actually take the mountain in first hand, you will never understand.
Congrats to Monster on his new record!
It takes HUGE cojones to pull off what he did, and I am grateful that I was able to witness it first hand, not mention that this is the last year that Pikes Peak will still have dirt on the course.
