At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) we brought you the breaking news of Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system. We followed it up with a look at how BlueLink's web-assisted features are similar to cloud-based services. Today, the company has revealed pricing for the service.
Buyers of Blue Link-capable cars will get a free service period to start. There are three aspects of the Blue Link package: Assurance, Essentials, and Guidance. Assurance comes free for the first six months, while Essentials and Guidance are available for three months free. If the buyer chooses to sign up for the auto-renewal service within the first 30 days, those periods are doubled.
Once the free service period is over, Hyundai drivers can elect to have Assurance only, Assurance and Essentials, or all three. Each of the packages is available for one-, two-, or three-year contracts, with the longer terms offering discounts. Prices range from $79 to $699.
