2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

With 465 horsepower from its 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, the new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, which made its world debut recently at the 2011 New York Auto Show, is guaranteed to remain one of the fastest SUVs on the planet for some time to come.

How fast? How ‘bout 0-60 in just 4.8 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph. Still not good enough? Well, this bad boy can still tow up to 5,000 pounds, deliver torque to individual wheels and comes with one of the beefiest sets of Brembo brakes we’ve seen on something costing less than $100,000.

Check out this video walkaround with our man Joel Feder explaining all the details, and then click here for the rest of the juicy info on the new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

  1. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo, BMW X6M, and BMW X5M would eat that thing alive! Horrible wheels, cheap cherry/red paint, low quality design interiors (as always trying to catch up with europeans). But hey, it's an american car let's not forget, so we can't expect european quality and refinement.

    Bad stuff?

  2. This thing will likely cost under 60 grand so maybe compare it to the v6 models of those three and It will tear them a new one.... also the old one could run 0-60 faster than any of those cars so this one hopefully will do that 2... Its affordable, fast and you dont look like an asshole driving it 2 Thumbs up (unless you are an asshole than maybe you can't see the quality of this car)

  4. Sounds like Milburgo is worried! Obviously doesn't know much about vehicles either. I just get a big kick out of hearing from people who are not even in the business (I'm guessing) sling their opinions. By the way ..do you know where the wheels come from?
