Prince William, Aston Martin DB6, Royal Wedding, 2011

Who knew the royal wedding would have anything to do with cars?

Well, for those who chose sweet, blessed sleep over the watching the royal wedding, you missed the Prince and his new bride driving off in a classic Aston Martin DB6 Volante.

Yes, the top was down, and the plates read "JU5T WED." The car has belonged to Prince Charles since 1969, and has been retrofitted to run on E85 fuel that comes from waste products derived from wine.

How very British.

At least the good Prince didn't drive off in a hybrid or--perhaps even worse--a German-made BMW.

  1. Astons are as British as they get, and a fine choice.
