Jaguar took advantage of the New York Auto Show to reveal its plans for the upcoming year. All three of its models have been refreshed, or updated, including the all-new XJ, which was just introduced a year ago.

We told you earlier about the new XKR-S, introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in February. Flaunting 550 horsepower, along with 510 pound-feet of torque, the Jaguar XKR-S is said to accelerate from rest to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. Further, it is quoted to 100 mph in 8.6 seconds and has a claimed 186 mph top. In addition to the upgraded engine, the suspension system has been reworked to deal with the new, more powerful engine.

The XF, Jaguar’s mid-size sedan gets a new front-end look, Xenon headlights, and “J-Blade” daytime running lights. The trunklid has been reworked and the taillights are new as well. The supercharged XFR gets a new hood with louvers to let the supercharged 510-horsepower V8 chillax. The interior gets an update as well—the seats are new, the infotainment system has been revised to make it easier to use and a 1200-watt Bowers & Wilkins 17-speaker audio system is available for serenades.

The XJ, hardly in need of any freshening at all so soon in its product cycle, gets a touch-up nonetheless. To improve the rear passenger experience, new interior options for the long-wheelbase cars include footrests, winged headrests and fold-down business trays. The driver gets some love too, a new wood and leather steering wheel is complimented by upgraded carpets, new gloss wood veneers and chrome mirror housings.

The one thing that hasn’t changed is the uncanny ability of Jaguar’s cars to blend beauty with outstanding luxury and exemplary performance. Offering the best of all worlds, Jaguar cars are unique in their ability to appear sleek and genteel while disguising an intense ferocity. By all appearances, the purchase of the company by Tata Motors has been good for the cars from Coventry as they are now both more luxurious and more powerful than ever before.
