Porsche 911 GT2 RS Spins On The ‘Ring, Causes Havoc For Other Drivers: Video

Follow Viknesh

The Porsche 911 GT2 is a car that needs no introduction. Often nicknamed the widow maker due to its sheer rawness and tendency to go sideways at will, the 911 GT2--as hard as it is to believe--is available in an even more extreme form, as the 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Here you see why the car is so revered among driving enthusiasts, including Formula 1 stars. What appears like a relatively gentle curve on the notorious Nurburgring circuit in Germany proves quite the challenge for the driver of this red 911 GT2 RS.

Perhaps too strong a tug at the wheel or maybe a hit of the accelerator too early, but the car quickly slides into a spin going around this corner. And unfortunately, it looks like it was a relatively busy day at the ‘Ring.

  1. What you can't see there is there is a bit of a dip which lightens the car up right where the slide is obvious. The slide actually started about 1/2 way around the corner. His entry speed was a little hot to begin with and then the dip caught him by surprise...Entry speed is a huge deal in a 911 due to the weight bias. When done right it is an advantage....

  2. BOOO! I cant see the video.
