2010 Dodge Viper stability control testing platform for next-gen model

2010 Dodge Viper stability control testing platform for next-gen model

A cryptic and somewhat oddball release from Chrysler today reveals that testing is underway for the next-gen Dodge Viper, due in late 2012. The subject of the test? Stability control.

Sadly no details on the next-gen Viper, expected to bear a 2013 model-year tag, were released. Testing is currently taking place on a 2010 chassis.

Tuning the system in winter weather, which continues to linger in the northern reaches of the U.S., the engineers are preparing the car for the next "Super Car Olympics" which Dodge says are "sure to take place...when the all-new performance icon returns."

We'll leave the guesswork as to exactly what that means to you.

  1. I would be nice if Chrysler can stay true to viper enthusiast and keep the v10. How about Direct Injection, Titanium con rods, titanium lfters and valves, Dry sump, Plasma Liners, 10 independent throttle bodies... etc. Really let it all hang out for a ohv engine. IMO
