Just over a week ago, Chevrolet graced us with the first glimpse of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu before its global debut at the 2011 New York and Shanghai auto shows, and just a few minutes ago, the carmaker has let an interior teaser slip on Facebook.

From what little we can see of the car it looks to feature a large touchscreen interface for the information/navigation cluster on this LTZ-trim vehicle, plus a dark dash/button layout on the center console accented by what appears to be soft glowing rings of light around the primary controls.

Comparing the layout to the current Malibu, the center stack looks to be more cleanly and symmetrically laid out, with restyled vents and more unified, clearly divided control layout.

There's little else to be gleaned from the shot, but we only have 11 days left until the full unveiling, so we won't be in suspense much longer. For more details on the 2013 Malibu, check out our previous story here.

  1. I have to say I like the tail lights and I think the exterior will definitely be good, but the interior like most American car looks cheap and plasticy

  3. I completely agree with Jake here. The tail lights look cool, so I am thinking the exterior will follow suit. The interior of American cars are always so plasticy that they look cheap.

  4. Good thing some of the design themes ( exterior and cabin ) are Camaro inspired.. also this car will be sold in a couple of countries with different GM badging - of course which is another big plus.

  5. I like the interior- it looks functional with a bit of class still. I was reading about the other specs on the Johnny Londoff Chevrolet blog and I'm excited to see it in person now.
