One Dead, Four Hurt After Crash Involving Mustangs And A Street-Sweeper

2003 Ford Mustang Standard

Sad news out of McKinney, Texas: One person is dead and four injured after two late-model Mustangs that appeared to be racing were involved in a crash with a street-sweeper.

According to police reports, both Mustangs (one a 1999 model, the other a 2003) collided with the street-sweeper, killing one occupant. The other two occupants and the drivers of both cars were hospitalized.

Witnesses say that the drivers were racing and beer cans were found at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

This is a reminder not just to not drink and race, but not to drink and drive. And not to race at all. Save your beer for the bar and take a cab home, and save your racing for the track.
