Report Says Chevrolet Might Launch Special-Edition Camaros Twice A Year

2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

According to Autoblog, Chevrolet will continue to crank out different editions of the Camaro. There's the ZL1 top-dog, of course, and a still-rumored Z28 could still hit showrooms along with perhaps a slightly-more fuel-efficient V-6 model.

Other special editions we could see this year? An edition marking the release of the upcoming third Transformers movie (Dark Of The Moon), along with 500 replicas of the 2011 Indy 500 pace car. On top of that, there might be a Camaro Synergy edition that combines V-6 power with other V-8 go-fast bits.

That's it for now, but if the report holds true, there might be more. Stay tuned.

  1. IF Chevrolet puts out a Z/28, it needs to be a Z/28. Back in 79 -81, when you saw a Z/28, you knew it was a Z/28. During the third and forth gen models, a person had to look hard and be really close up to tell the difference. This is where Chevrolet really messed up. IF the new model Z's ever come out, I hope that Chevy gets it right. This thing now with the 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS is moronic. Have a base v8 Camaro and a super charged Z/28. What else do they need?
