2011 Chicago Auto Show: Chevrolet Promises Big News

We know Chevrolet is showing off two cars at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show, and one is likely based on the Chevrolet Camaro platform. We're guessing that the long-awaited 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 will bow, but anything could happen.

Although all rumors and signs point in that direction, instead of the Z28, we could see a rear-wheel drive sedan. Or perhaps something else.

For full coverage, check back here shortly after the reveal happens at 9:15 Central time on Wednesday.

  1. I work at GM and should not spoil anything, but I cannot keep it a secret...
The car is camaro-based surprise is going to Buick.
    Yes, Buick.
Did someone say, "A moden interpretation of the Buick Grand National"?
Blashphamous as it may be, this will not be powered with a V-6 Turbo. Instead, will have the std. camaro V8 powerplant. The car will definately be more upright and may not be a 2+2. I have seen the drawings and it has many of the design queues of the fake CTS-based photoshopped version that is floating around the internet. Modern versions of the grill, hood bulge, tailights and wheels. The GNX fender louvers carry over, not some chromed ones.
A version based on the current Regal would be a joke akin the 1988 Regal.
This will rock the automotive world.
