While Mercedes-Benz may have featured Sean P. Diddy Combs in its Super Bowl XLV ad, Chrysler has called on fellow hip hop idol Eminem to star in its own ad. The cameo is fitting given Eminem’s Detroit roots, a common background Chrysler is proud to express and one that ties with the automaker’s new tagline: “Imported from Detroit.”
As for the featured car, this time ‘round it was the new 2011 Chrysler 200 that made an appearance. The two-minute spot, a Super Bowl first, was filmed entirely in the city of Detroit using a local cast and crew members.
The Chrysler brand kicks off its new Imported from Detroit marketing and advertising campaign this month. The campaign highlights the rejuvenation of the entire product lineup, including the 200 Sedan and Convertible models, as well as the stylish 300 and latest Town & Country minivan.

Not being a fan of M&M (pun intended), I was highly impressed by the way he, the rest of Detroit and the Chrysler were portrayed.
An excellent spot worthy of awards for high quality and 100% take-home message.

Selling this car good man! Big impact, great follow through, had to watch it again to believe it was two minutes; captivating. This is the work of a producer at the top of his game. Looking forward to seeing what he may do with the fact that this car is exceedingly stylish for its price point and m.p.g. Import some more!
