Somehow, Ford's Mustang keeps winning comparison tests against it pony-car rivals. This time Motor Trend pitted it against the new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, and it took home the victory.

Specifically, it was a Mustang GT versus a Camaro SS, and the 5.0-liter V-8 Mustang out-dueled the 6.2-liter V-8 Camaro.

I just drove the Camaro Convertible, and found it to be more solid than the Mustang Convertible, but comparison tests are not won on one subject alone. Indeed, MT picked the Mustang because the buff book felt it was a better overall sports car.
