Subaru owner learns the risks of ice racing the hard way

Ice racing is, simply put, one of the most awesome and ridiculous forms of motorsport around. Rooster tails of snow and ice, studded tires, and frozen lakes add up to quality entertainment for many. But it can go wrong. Very wrong.

SCCA Forums member maxjns aptly described the incident:

"This past weekend I was up in Wisconsin on lake Sinissippi  running in the ice autocross with a group called W.A.G. The event is held in a quiet bay of the lake that freezes very well. This cheeky fellow decided he wanted to drive on an area of the lake he really had no business being on. Bet he had a real ‘OH S***!’ moment."

Indeed.
