The new 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible doesn’t go on sale until spring but we already know that in its 650i guise it will be wearing a $91,375 (including destination) sticker. Now, we have an early look at the exclusive BMW Individual package that will be available for the new 6-Series range this fall.

If you’re unfamiliar with the BMW Individual name, it’s the title given to an exclusive program established back in 1991 for designing and creating customized versions of BMW cars for customers who were looking for made-to-measure solutions. The cars are ideal for those customers who seek the highest levels of luxury and look to own a more personalized vehicle.

For the latest 6-Series Convertible, BMW Individual will once again be offering exclusive exterior colors, alloy wheels and interior appointments.

These will include a new Tansanite Blue metallic paint scheme, along with Brilliant White and Agate Brown, all applied to the car with seven layers to give off a perfect finish. There will also be special badging, 19 or 20 inch light alloy wheels and high gloss shadow or aluminum satin trim around the windows and doors.

Inside, available features will include fine-grain Merino leather, piano black or auburn wood trim, and an upgraded BMW Individual sound system.

Pricing and availability for the new 6-Series Convertible BMW Individual package should be announced closer to its official sales launch this fall.

  1. For me the front lights look odd. I just dont dig them. If you slapped on the current (old) 6ers lights on the new model it would look much cleaner, more aggressive, in general sexier.
When looking through the photos i noticed the Individual 6er had different front seats from that of the standard version…(any info on that? They look like the new Bentley GT’s seats…

    Bad stuff?

  2. @Josh B,
BMW is yet to release full details on the new package but we will update the story as soon as it's made available.
For the record, I also prefer the look of the old lights. The shot with the two different models side by side really shows how good the styling on the previous generation was. It's hard to pick which design looks older.

  3. Viknesh, it's funny how we appreciate the looks of the old 6 series now but when it came out initially it looked horrible. I think it shows how ahead of the game BMW was with design, especially when you consider how a lot of new models are increasingly looking like the old 5,6 & 7 series!
Any news on the new M5?

  4. @Amalan,
This is the latest info that we have on the new M5. Its debut is almost certain to be at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show on March 1.
