Owners of 2010 and 2011 Saab 9-3 models should be wary as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reporting that Saab has issued a recall on this particular model.

The affected cars are those built from June 2010 through to December 2010. Saab claims that certain fuel pumps installed as original equipment may have internal components with incorrect specifications. Those faulty fuel pumps can cause an engine to stall, which obviously increases the risk of a crash.

Saab will be notifying owners of the affected vehicles from next month onwards. The official safety recall is scheduled to begin on February 18.
