Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the E-Type and 60th anniversary of the C-Type's LeMans win, Jaguar will be the featured marquee at the 2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion this August.

Formerly known as the Monterey Historics, this is the third time that Jaguar will be the featured marque at the event, having previously headlined in 1976 and 1992. If you're not familiar with the Histori…uh…Motorsports Reunion, a brief explainer is in order. Imagine all the coolest race cars throughout racing history. I'm talking vintage Jaguars of course, but Porsches, Ferraris, Maseratis…you name it. Now, put them all on a track, a good track, like the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Throw in some equally historic race car drivers, and you have a weekend that anybody who calls themselves an enthusiast absolutely must attend at least once.

If you've already been, then this is all old hat. If you haven't, this might be a good year to start. Expect to see significant Jaguar race cars of every stripe, along with plenty of beautifully restored non-race cars on the streets during the weekend. C-Types? D-Types? You bet they'll be there.
