Ferrari 612 Scaglietti successor teased on invitation

Ferrari is working on a successor for its aging 612 Scaglietti supercar, spy shots of which we have been available for the good part of a year now.

In addition to this, Ferrari plans to show something “very different” at March’s 2011 Geneva Motor Show, with most suggesting that it will be a limited edition Shooting Brake version of the current 612 Scaglietti.

However, a few lucky individuals will get to see a new Ferrari supercar, possibly the 612 Scaglietti Shooting Brake or its successor, later this month. How do we know? An invitation for a private event where Ferrari will be unveiling a new model was shown to the guys at Autoblog and is presented here.

It’s written in Italian but the wording translates to: "Get ready to jump on board... Ferrari invites you to discover an all-new Ferrari in preview."

The invitation also shows a teaser image of the new car, though it’s difficult to identify which model it is just by looking at it.

The private event will take place on January 21 at 12:00 Central European Time.
