2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible Images Leaked

Follow Nelson

The 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible had been expected to make its appearance at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show earlier this week, but when the dust settled, it was nowhere to be found. Some of our Italian cohorts have solved that problem, however, leaking a full gallery of images of the car.

The 200 Convertible loses the roof and with it much of what made the 200 look not so much like a Sebring, to our eye at least. This, dear reader, is the Michael Scott car.

Sure, the front end is cleaned up and the interior looks a bit nicer, but it's really hard for us not to think "Sebring Part Deux" when we see the drop-top.

What do you think? Are we off-kilter from too many espresso-fueled late night auto show sessions? Or is this really just the same old pig in a new dress?

  1. Notice in most of these photos, the car itself is quite small, while the background is very busy. Translation: don't look too carefully at our "new" car.

    Bad stuff?

  2. Good point. I think the background is a new parking garage in Miami Beach, off Lincoln Road. Much more striking than the convertible.
I don't see this going well as a Lancia.

  3. I like the new look. I am not a big fan of flat boots because it makes the trunk area look too long regardless of make except for Volvo. I don't know why you guys make remarks like,"interior a bit nicer"? The interiors are absolutely beautiful, not a bit nicer. You should concentrate on your affiliation and facination with Daimler's Bavarian Crap instead of constantly putting Chrysler down.
