The 2012 Chevy Camaro Z28 has already overcome a very rocky road to get the production greenlight, and now we have almost another full year to wait before any of us will get our hands on one. Better late than never, though, eh?

We've been awaiting a launch date for the Z28 since talk of its production solidified last June. As we've waited, we've caught glimpses of the car as it undergoes testing, revealing little in the way of unexpected details.

The latest news from Camaro5, however, does manage to add to the mix, claiming that the Z28 will get not only the 6.2-liter supercharged engine shared with the Cadillac CTS-V, but also the magneto-rheological Magnetic Ride suspension found on the super-sedan (and the Z06 and ZR1 Corvettes) as well.

Beyond that, the new report indicates larger 285/330 width front and rear tires, which are absolutely monstrous by production car standards, as well as minor updates to the interior, most likely unique badging and some different colors.
