2011 Pagani C9 spy shots

HI-RES GALLERY: 2011 Pagani C9 spy shots

The Huayra, Dues Venti or whatever Pagani’s new supercar, currently going by its codename C9, will be called, has been captured today testing in and around the streets of Modena, Italy just outside Pagani’s factory. The video below shows a prototype for the car, giving us a real sense of its proportions and presence out on the road.

We also get to hear its bespoke V-12 engine, which was confirmed by Pagani to be a unique unit developed by Mercedes-Benz AMG exclusively for the upcoming supercar. It looks like we have nothing to fear as the sound of the engine in this prototype sounds every bit as menacing, if not more so, than the 7.3-liter V-12 that powers the outgoing Pagani Zonda.

I think you fill find those pictures are from South Africa and not Italy. The crashed one might be Italy but the photos of the car on the car transporter have the distinct South African Government licence sticker on the back stating "Government Approved High Speed testing Vehicles". The background road signs are also South African and not Italian and more tellingly the transporter is parked on a road on which the cars drive on the left.
