As the 2011 Detroit Auto Show approaches, the flurry of teaser sketches is picking up into a steady drift of information "leaks." This hour's latest? Another glimpse of the upcoming Kia KV7 crossover, a Flex-like creation on first glance that showcases a pair of conventional doors--along with a pair of gullwing rear doors.

Kia hasn't released the details on the KV7, but with today's teaser comes this tease: "Conceived as a challenge to the industry’s current interpretation of the van, the KV7 incorporates several innovative lighting elements currently being evaluated for future Kia production vehicles."

Kia currently sells the Sedona, a conventional sliding side door minivan that received a new grille and a new powertrain for the 2011 model year.

The South Korean automaker will pull the wraps off the KV7 concept at its Detroit press conference on Monday, January 10 at 5:10 p.m. MotorAuthority will have plenty more on the concept then--stay tuned here, bookmark our 2011 Detroit Auto Show page, and follow us on Facebook or Twitter @therealma for the very latest.
