Joining the recently revealed 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan in showrooms later this year will be a brand new C-Class Coupe, which has been spied previously testing around Germany and now has been captured for the first time on U.S. soil.
Mercedes-Benz's last two-door C-Class, the CLC, wasn't a great success, particularly here in the U.S., in part because of its awkward styling and in part--towards the end--because it was actually based on the previous-generation car, with only minor styling tweaks to update its look. The new car, however, is based on the latest 2012 model year C-Class Sedan, which means it will get all the new technology that goes along with it.
The C-Class Coupe seen here was spotted at Mercedes-Benz’s Long Beach Vehicle Processing Center in California, where shrouded versions of the next-generation SLK and ML-Class were also present.
