2011 Lincoln MKZ
Summertime promotions to boost sales are nothing new--cheap or free gas, extended warranties, and in Lincoln's case this summer, a Complimentary Maintenance Program on 2011 model-year vehicles. But rarely do those promotions become permanent features. Lincoln has bucked tradition, making the free maintenance program standard for all of its 2011 and future vehicles.
Offered on top of the standard four-year/50,000-mile standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, the Complimentary Maintenance Program (CMP) includes tire rotation, inspections, and oil and filter changes. It can be transferred, just like a warranty, to a second owner as well.
“We are redefining the Lincoln customer ownership experience,” said C.J. O’Donnell, Lincoln group marketing manager. “Lincoln Complimentary Maintenance is just one example of Ford Motor Company’s commitment to elevating the Lincoln brand and experience.”
Redefining the Lincoln ownership experience is a must-do task on Ford's corporate checklist if it hopes to grow the brand.
Looking to the future, a first-ever for Lincoln, a C-segment vehicle, is due soon; exclusive powertrains are also on the docket including a new V-6 engine and more fuel-efficient high-tech transmissions; plus the expansion of EcoBoost across the full lineup, and more focus on value-packaged high-tech features.
