Hiromu Naruse

Though it happened in June, the sudden passing of Hiromu Naruse, Toyota's chief test driver, in a crash on German roads still feels fresh. Naruse's influence on Toyota's vehicles ran so deep the company decided to pay video tribute to his role in this short clip.

Naruse worked for Toyota for over 47 years before his death in Germany, inspiring almost all of Toyota's sports cars throughout its history. He was also one of the core driving forces behind the development of the car in which he ultimately met his end, the LFA.
